Neil Young is known as the “Grandfather of Grunge”. As a genre, grunge isn’t too clean. Kurt Cobain loved to play with cheap guitars and he intentionally used feedback in his songs. Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam? Good luck on figuring out what he’s singing!! “Yellow Ledbetter” has been used multiple times by YouTube creators for misheard lyrics. By the way, “mondegreen” is the technical term for misheard lyrics. For years, I loved to sing “Rockin’ in the Free World” and I especially loved when Neil Young got to the part when he sang, “God loves to cry!!” But guess what?? It’s a mondegreen!! It’s a misheard lyric!! Every official site says he’s singing, “Got roads to drive.” And you know what?? I have no problem posting the “real” lyrics here (as I have above) but I’ve listened to it a few times and I still can’t hear the “official” stuff!!! Good luck with this song!! It’s made for today’s struggles …
